About
First and foremost, I am so deeply sorry you find yourself in need of these resources.
The pain, confusion, injustice and sorrow of losing a child is utterly unbearable.
About Love
From Ada
Feeling overwhelmed is natural because it is overwhelming. The trauma is frightening, and as humans, we are not designed to bear such pain. Losing a loved baby is against the natural order. However, with love, support, and compassion, you can endure incredible heartache and life-altering loss. Hour by hour, day by day, you can learn to carry what can't be fixed.
This resource guide is in loving memory of my daughter, Ada June Francis, who was stillborn at 32 weeks on September 20, 2021. Despite all available testing, her sudden death remains unexplained, and her absence will forever be felt.
In the early days following my loss, I found the provided resources lacking. Over time, I discovered supports and resources that validated my experience, brought comfort, and allowed me to work through my grief while honouring Ada.
I hope these recommendations offer you connection and comfort. Your experience is uniquely your own, and your belief systems and personality will impact what you need. If a resource doesn't feel right, put it down and listen to your heart.
